Cause

Take a swing at a pot up to $5,000 while helping keep Valley View going strong. Valley View Golf Club is a small but mighty nonprofit, community-run course that works hard to keep golf accessible and affordable in the Slocan Valley. And Valley View is much more than golf. Meals at the clubhouse, weddings and celebrations, community gatherings, cross-country skiing and sledding all help bring people together while bringing in the revenue needed to keep this local place running. But sometimes, even that isn’t enough. A break-in this spring resulted in the loss of critical course equipment and left Valley View with a costly insurance deductible at a time when every dollar matters. That makes your 50/50 ticket a little more meaningful. Tickets start at just $5, the pot can grow up to $5,000, and the winner takes half. The other half helps Valley View recover, keep the course accessible and continue creating a welcoming place for the Slocan Valley community.
